Thanks to DK for drawing first blood, that actually helped me a lot.
This is my first post, not only on this blog but my first blogpost anywhere. Haven't really been bitten by this "blog-bug" until now, and I'm not entirely sure if I've been infected by its venom just yet. I mean, the concept of giving everyone a chance to say what's on their mind is definitely not a new idea, but these days its clearly a growing and more accepted way of thinking. And I'm glad, after all i would most likely not be able to write this post if this wasn't the case. So why am i not a full fledged supporter of the blog phenomenon? Well in my opinion there is a lot of great writing circulating on the blogs you can find online. There is no doubt about that, neither do i doubt the fact that you can learn a lot from them if you want to. Sadly, at the same time, the amount of pure bullshit and stupidity floating around these gems is massive. I realize that not everything works for everyone, and i am fully aware that my own writing is going to be deemed uninteresting and even despised by some. But seriously, sometimes i really wish some of these dumb asses would just pack up their shit and leave. I can't help it, they piss me off.
I guess in the end my grudges are just as unoriginal and uninteresting as what the next hater is going to write. Still, as cliche as this might be, this IS my main reason for not doing anything like this until now, unlike DK who has been blogging for quite some time. In short; my skepticism has kept me away. However, i have now decided to give this a chance, and see if i can actually manage to write something that might be interesting for someone else out there to read. I don't have any real hopes but we'll see. Maybe, just maybe, someone out there will find this blog and not consider it a complete waste of their time.

First Blood - The freedom axiom
The celebration of different styles and cultures is possible nowadays thanks to the internet and it's new concepts. The human race has been able to rise again from the opression and censorship of governments and powerful capitalist companies. Blogs, video logs and the wiki concept are all stable and sturdy pillars for the free exchange of ideas and experiences between humans, regardless of their ethnicity, religion or culture. As a catalyst for understanding, consequence of the prosperity of the former british empire and an ever growing influence of american culture over the world, the english language poses itself as a dependable instrument.
My first blood on this blog concerns this new paradigm and is an homage to all those who have contributed to this new era for the human race, in which no man can be silenced and information is free. Without them we couldn't do this, they are responsible for this fundamental axiom.
Knowledge is power.
